bye bye snow!

The sunniest city of Switzerland is melting the rest of the snow.
Today the sun is so strong that I need sunglasses. If I think back at Dublin's winters, I feel very lucky.
The sun makes people happy. Today I feel very happy.

Yesterday we went out for the "busy" Basel nightlife: dead!!!
I'm going to Zurich next week to see if I can find something worth the world "nightlife". I found this website meetup that is fantastic. Basically if you want to do something with somebody you can:
  • search an already organised event for what you want to do
  • organise a new event.
It works!!!

In any case, we went out yesterday and we end up in a Irish pub with an Irish band from Dublin.
After some song ("dirty old town", for example), I felt home-sick.
That was really a weird feeling!

Party time

Whow, what a busy months ahead!
I start this week with a trip to Amsterdam where I have two parties on Saturday. My old friend Gianni is getting older and Gianluca is organizing a crazy night in the same day.
I hope I can make both!
We go on with a ice-skating event in Basel the 9th of February and a party in Milano the 10th.
But I can't stop! I'm in Prague for 3 crazy days at the end of February.
Then some rest and .... 4 days in Dublin for St.Patrick (to be confirmed!!!!)
Who said the Switzerland is boring?

swiss organisation

Hi everybody,
I'm back online finally! A lot of things happened but I could not describe them!!!
First, I moved to a new apartment. It is big, bright, ... I love it.
And it has a gas cooker: a so important thing for me addict to good food and cook lover.
After two years of electric cooker in Dublin, it is a kind of revolution.
It also useful in case you get bored in Basel. You can use your gas oven to commit suicide!!!
Have you ever tried to commit suicide with an electric oven?
The only bad thing is that there is just a shared washing machine for the entire building: 14 apartments. That means that I can wash every fortnight.
I have to buy some additional panties :-)
The other news is that I woke up one day and I could not move my thumb anymore.
After some medical examination, the doctors figured out that a tendon has been cut by a titanium plaque I had over a wrist bone.
The swiss doctor told that there was no problem: just a small surgery to remove the plaque and re-wire the tendon. Everything was ready for the surgery when the doctor asked me: "do you know the producer of the plaque?"
Well, to cut the story short, the doctor discovered that my plaque is only sold in Italy and US.
In Switzerland, nobody has the right screwdriver to remove it!!!!!
Fortunately, we discovered this on time!!! Imagine me in the surgery room, my flesh opened, the doctor saying "screwdriver, please", and the assistant saying "sorry, we haven't it".
He had my surgery in Italy. Another scare, other stitches. I think I have more than 100 stitches over my body.
